Dr. Avi Rubinov: Director of the Oculoplasty Service at the Samson Assuta Ashdod University Hospital.
I am a specialist in ophthalmology and work as an oculoplastic surgeon specializing in laser eyelid surgery, tear duct and orbital surgery.
I completed my medical studies at Semmelweis University in Budapest, Hungary in 2006, after which I specialized in eye diseases at Rambam Medical Center in Haifa.
After completing my residency, I worked as a senior physician at Carmel Hospital for approximately one year.
I then continued at Calgary University in Alberta, Canada for a two-year fellowship in diseases of the orbit, eyelids, and tear ducts.
During this training, I performed over one thousand surgeries and was exposed to advanced surgical techniques, including the use of a laser in eyelid surgeries. Upon returning to Israel, I was appointed as the Director of the oculoplastic service at the Israel’s newest public hospital, Samson Assuta Ashdod University Hospital.
